William W. Barnes

Bill Barnes founded New England Business Development as a way to bring together all the skills he has learned and the passion he has for developing successful leaders and companies into a successful business coaching practice.

Mr. Barnes has over twenty years of demonstrated accomplishments in leadership positions in management, consulting, organization development, and human resources. He has expertise in change management, including rapid growth, restructuring, cultural change, leadership development and training. Bill has successfully led efforts to accomplish strategic business objectives with sensitivity to employee morale and productivity issues.

Recent projects include training and coaching consultants and project managers in India for Wipro and Infosys, two of India’s largest consulting and technology firms, and leading a non-profit in the Boston area through a restructuring of their Board and Management Teams. Other projects have included developing sales compensation plans, incentive stock option plans, restructuring benefit plans to add value and reduce costs, and designing and implementing effective recruitment strategies and programs to improve employee morale and productivity.

Bill has served as Vice President of Human Resources for a software company that grew from 20 to 1,000 employees and over $115 million in revenues during his tenure. He has also run his own Business Consulting firm and started a Human Resources Outsourcing company serving start-up businesses. In addition Bill was head of Human Resources and a member of the executive team for a $50 million Information Technology staffing company, and an $18 million private non-profit in Boston. With his consulting exposure to dozens of different companies, he has an excellent sense of how to leverage the strengths of people and processes to accomplish positive change.
